Welcome to Bleakholt
caring for those who have no one
Nestled on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Irwell valley Bleakholt animal sanctuary is a charity committed to caring for dogs, cats, farm animals and small pets. No animal at the sanctuary is ever put to sleep except on veterinary advice. Our aim is to find happy loving homes for many of our dogs, cats, rabbits and small animals and those that cannot be re-homed will spend the rest of their days in our care along with our equine and farm animals.
On a cold winter day the 'Bleak' in Bleakholt really means something! However our staff and volunteers are relentless in their dedication to care for our animals and none of this would be possible without your support.
Bleakholt is totally funded by the public, we survive solely on donations. We need your help more than ever. Please make a donation by clicking 'Donate' below or click here to make a regular monthly donationYou can also send a cheque. See how your donations help, just click here...
